Step 1 – Remove glass door
Remove mesh safety screen. To remove glass door unscrew the four corner screws, starting with the bottom two screws first, from the glass panel and while supporting the glass panel from underneath. Lift off glass panel and carefully put aside. (figure to the right)
Step 2 – Install pebble racks
(*This is only required if converting a gas log fire to a pebble or coal fire. If you purchased your Enviro as a pebble or coal fire, go to step 3). Unscrew screws on each left hand level and right hand level. Install all the wire racks in the configuration shown below. At the end of each rack is a screw hole which needs to align with the relevant screw hole in the heater. Align holes and fasten with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 3 – Postioning Pebbles/Coals
In the kit you were provided there are three sizes of pebbles/coals (small, medium & large). Starting on the top level, arrange the largest pebbles/coals in the hap-hazard way. Using the same method on the middle level mix large pebbles/coals with medium pebbles/coals and on the bottom lever, mix medium and small pebbles/coals.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT COVER THE GAS VENTS WITHIN THE HEATER WHICH ARE THE HOLES IN BETWEEN LEVELS. THIS CAN CAUSE THERMOSTAT TO MISREAD AND SWITCH OFF THE HEATER.
Step 4 – Reattach glass door
Once you are happy with the placement of pebbles/coals and none are covering the vents, re-attach glass front using step one in reverse. (*It is important not to insert screws on an angle as this can strip the thread causing problems attaching and removing the glass door.) Re-attach mesh safety screen.
CAUTION: DO NOT BEGIN INSTALLATION IMMEDIATELY AFTER UNIT HAS BEEN TURNED ON AS GLASS WILL BE HOT TO TOUCH.
Included in this kit: Wire racks (only supplied if converting from log fire), Pebbles or Coals
